On Sunday, January 24, at 2:00 p.m., Friends trustee and Cornell Professor Sherene Baugher will give our first public presentation of 2016, called "Archeology in the Big Apple and the Little Apple." It will take place in the Lyceum Auditorium of Kendal of Ithaca. Since 1998, Dr. Baugher and her Cornell archeology classes have been excavating and studying a number of former building sites in the upper park in what was, in the 1800s, the Hamlet of Enfield Falls. Formerly, Dr. Baugher was the first official New York City archeologist. She will compare her experiences and insights gained from work in these two settings in New York State.
