The Friends of Robert H. Treman State Park will hold its July board meeting at 4:30 PM on Monday, July 10, on the porch of the picnic pavilion at the far end of the main parking lot in the upper park. Members are welcome to attend and we are always looking for new people getting involved in supporting this spectacular park. (If the pavilion is rented, we will meet on the porch of the Old Mill.) Members can gain entry to the upper park to attend this meeting by showing their membership card to the gate attendant.
Join the Friends of Robert H. Treman State Park for 2016 Heritage Day at the upper park on Saturday, October 15, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Cornell archeologists will show you what they are unearthing in the site of the former Hamlet of Enfield Falls, which formed the nucleus for the state park when it was created in 1920. Explore the four floors and exhibits in the Old Mill, built in the 1830s, and understand its place in the 19th century agricultural community. There's a lot of history to be discovered in this gorgeous park!
